Marketing Department

Marketing as a discipline, had all along been the backbone of all businesses. This importance lies in its role as a catalyst for revenue generation and a strategic tool for product/service sustainability.

As such, the Department of Marketing is charged with ensuring that students with marketing specialization are equipped with the analytical knowledge so that they can bring tangible contributions to their future employers.

Marketing principles and other related courses have been designed to provide the foundation upon which students as future employees or self-employed can build in order to cope with the challenges to be encountered in the ever-changing business environment.

In addition, the involvement of fourth year students in identifying pending marketing problems to the local business entities of their choice and the challenges of suggesting realistic solutions to the same, provide them with the hands on experience and confidence which are prerequisites to providing business solution.

On the other hand, faculty members in the department have been involved in outreach services whereby several workshops and seminars were conducted for the purpose of imparting business skills to the business community.

In view of this, it has been envisaged that faculty members will increase their participation in outreach endeavors so that more local business people can benefit and subsequently add value to their daily undertakings.
