Sonia Kabuguza has been crowned Miss SFB 2010. The first year student, emerged as the top contender among 7 other competitors. In attendance were Joseph Habineza, the Minister of Culture and Sports, Director of the Association of Women in Sports (AKWOS), SFB’s Acting Rector, lecturers and students from several local universities. Miss Rwanda, Miss East Africa, Miss National University of Rwanda, Miss Kigali Institute of Science Technology (KIST), and the Miss SFB 2009 also attended the event. The guest of honour, Habineza described the winner as one who has a beauty with purpose. Entertainment for the evening included performances by local artists Paccy, Young Junior, K8, King James and The Brothers.

Over 1,000,000 RWF were raised in fundraising campaign to support needy children, and AKWOS pledged sports equipment worth 3,000,000 RWF.

Following the crowning ceremony, contestants and guests proceeded to Pasadena for the after party.

The pageant was sponsored by; MTN, AKWOS, Simba Supermarket, Sulfo Rwanda, Inyange, Shokola, Design Internet, No Limit Sounds, Caisse Sociale du Rwanda, Hair and Fashion saloon, and various FM stations.
